Heath, Becky, and Will Stapleton

Service in Chimala:  1996  - July, 2003

Heath served as missionary in charge of the Chimala School of Preaching and the Christian School.  In this role, he was involved in the day to day operation and teaching in the preacher training school. He also was in charge of the evangelistic outreach program, along with preaching and teaching at local congregations on a regular basis.

Becky took part in various areas of work including teaching Bible Classes at the Christian School and Ladies class at the local congregation on the Mission.  She also did some computer work for Heath and the Christian School. Her primary responsibility, though, was being Will's mother.

With the departure of his dad, Robert Stapleton, to become the director of Brown Trail School of Preaching, the position of Chimala mission coordinator was open and needed to be filled.  The elders of the New York Avenue Church of Christ asked Heath Stapleton to take on that responsibility.  Heath, Becky, and Will returned to the United States in July, 2003, to begin working with Bob in making the transition.  In December, 2003, Heath took on the role of coordinator for the Chimala Mission.
